2026 Telephone & Internet Voting Procedures
The Township of Blandford-Blenheim has established comprehensive policies and procedures for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections, which will be conducted entirely by telephone and internet voting. These procedures outline how the election will be administered, including voter eligibility, voting methods, Voter Assistance Centres, accessibility measures, election security, scrutineer rules, recount procedures, and protections against election fraud and mail tampering. The document also details how Voter Information Letters and Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) will be issued and managed to ensure a secure and accessible voting process for all eligible electors.
Voting for the 2026 Municipal Election will take place from October 13 to October 26, 2026, using telephone and internet voting only. Eligible electors will receive a Voter Information Letter by mail containing instructions and secure voting credentials. Voter Assistance Centres will also be available throughout the voting period to assist residents with voting, revisions to the Voters’ List, replacement PINs, and accessibility support.
